Anthropology Student Association at SFSU

The ASA is one of the university's oldest and longest running student associations.  The association was established in 1971 by the students of Adan Treganza and has been a self-supporting organization since. The ASA is a student run group that organizes formal and informal events designed to encourage students of all levels and faculty members to get together and socialize and share information about anthropology.  Annual events include participation in the University Student Activities/Cultural Fair (one of the annual fundraisers), organization of department picnics and potlucks, and fieldtrips to destinations of anthropological interest.

Meetings are every Monday at noon SCI 273
